ABOUT ME

I have been riding since I was 4yo, starting off at pony club, local shows, eventing, novelties and everything fun that kids love to do on their ponies! I did my first Royal Show at age 9 where I placed 6th in my rider class out of 42 competitors on my 17yo leased Australian Pony mare! I had a number of ponies of the next few years who took me from strength to strength and whilst I still loved eventing and having a hoon around, my main love was showing. I broke in my first pony of my own at age 13 and from there started to take on ponies for friends to break in and ride at shows.

Horses have always kept me busy and I have never missed a show season, however in the last 5 years I have continued my journey working hard to move up the ranks in the showing world, taking on some top horses and ponies to show for clients and achieving some great results. I had a beautiful Arabian Riding Pony Gelding, Eldonbrook Ahmeni, who I took to Champion Led ARP Gelding and Champion Ridden Arabian Derivate at the 2008 Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show as a 5yo. We then joined HRCAV and had some great times, even getting back into eventing over winter. Our last event was TTT horse trials in 2008, unfortunately a few weeks later a freak paddock accident ended this short but amazing journey for us.

I was lucky enough to campaign the stunning Pearl of Marconi for Lisa O’Neill for two years, who won countless champions and supremes both in hand and under saddle, including Australian Champion Arabian Riding Pony Filly at the Arabian Championships at Werribee in 2009, Supreme Champion Buckskin at Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show in 2010 and Champion Led and Ridden Buckskin at Barastoc HOTY 2010. Another beautiful horse who I achieved some huge results with was the Arabian Warmblood mare, Ballanbrae Diva owned by Kay Dawson.

My current show team consists of a 4yo RP Gelding who Ive owned since weaning, Beckworth Splendid Design, who will make his saddle debut in early 2012. I have a 4yo Welsh B Gelding Rivington Windrow owned by Kay Dawson who was gelded and broken in early in 2011 and has already had a great start to his show and dressage career. Finally, I have my 3yo Welsh B/Arabian Pony filly, Marconi All A Glitter who has been shown successfully as a yearling and 2yo, who will attend limited shows this season but will be broken in mid 2012.

I take so much pride in the way my horses are presented at shows and always make sure they are as happy and healthy as possible. Even before gaining sponsorship from Equine Chia, I was a true believer in the product. After no more than 2 weeks on Chia, my ponies were positively glowing, even in full winter coat! I always have people asking me what I feed my ponies or what I spray on my coats and I can honestly tell them the only supplement they get is Equine Chia and at shows I do not spray a thing on them!

We have a number of major events coming up in the new year including VASL Saddlehorse Championships, APSB Stud Show, Royal Melbourne Summer Horse Show, Barastoc, EV State Titles, Welsh Nationals and Dressage With the Stars. I am very excited to now be part of “Team Equine Chia”and thank them very much for their generosity. I have no doubt they will contribute to further success with my beautiful ponies and I look forward to flying the Equine Chia flag for them!
